How We Approach Every Wall

From there, the anchor changes with the wall — wood screws into open studs for standard drywall, masonry or sleeve anchors for brick and stone, self-tapping screws for steel-stud commercial framing, and specialty anchors for plaster-and-lath walls common in the metro's older neighborhoods. Matching the Mount to the TV

TVs mount to a bracket through a VESA hole pattern on the back of the set, and mounts are rated by both hole-pattern compatibility and weight capacity — matching both correctly is what keeps a large TV secure for years rather than just on install day. Fixed mounts sit closest to the wall for a simple, straight-ahead viewing angle; tilting mounts add downward angle adjustment, which matters most for anything mounted higher than eye level; full-motion mounts swing and swivel, useful for rooms with more than one seating area.
